Brown Rice (Recipe)

Brown Rice:

 I use the following recipe for almost all the rice I cook. It comes our Perfect every time!

  1. I use an Electric Rice cooker (Zojirushi with a setting for Gaba brown Rice).
  2. I use 1 3/4 Cup water to 1 Cup brown Rice (Basmati, Sushi, Jasmine)
  3. Optional: 1/2 -3/4 Tbs. Cold Pressed, Virgin, Organic Coconut Oil (rich in medium-chain triglycerides or MCTs) 
  4. Optional: approx. 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder (one of the best natural anti-inflamatory herbs).
  5. Optional: Approx. 1/4 tsp. Cumin seeds
  6. Optional: 3-4 whole Cardamon pods (which I discard before eating).
  7. Optional: Cloves (which I discard before eating).
  8. I set the machine to Gaba and wait 3 hours for perfection; or, I set it to Brown and it will be ready in 45 minutes.
